Till Dannewald obtained his diploma in economics at the University Regensburg in 2001. From 2002 to 2007 he worked as research assistant at the Institute of Marketing at Humboldt-University in Berlin and was a member of the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centers “Simulation and Quantification of Economic Processes” and “Economic Risk”. After he finished his PhD in Berlin, between 2007 and 2011 he served as consultant in the area of Business Intelligence and Business Analytics in various industries (especially Automotive, Retail and Pharma). From 2011 to 2016 Till Dannewald was Professor for Quantitative Marketing at the Georg-August-University and associated member of the DFG-funded Research Training Group 1666. Since 2016 he holds the Chair of Business Intelligence / Business Analytics at the Wiesbaden Business School and is responsible for the undergraduate program “Digital Business Management”. His interdisciplinary research has been published in various internationally well-regarded journals. Current research interests of Till Dannewald include consumer behavior, statistics, data science and the application of machine learning.

Matthias Kowald obtained his master degree in sociology at University Duisburg Essen in 2007. From 2008 to 2012 he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Transport Planning and Systems (IVT) of ETH Zürich, where he obtained his PhD in transportation planning. From 2012 to 2016 he worked at the Swiss Federal Office for Spatial Development, where he was responsible for the national travel surveys and transport demand models in both, passenger and fright transportation. Since 2016 Matthias is working as a Professor for mobility behaviour at the RheinMain University of applied sciences. In teaching and research he focusses on behavioural theories and empirical and statistical methods in transport planning and mobility management.
