Nuno start teaching at ISEL back in 2001. Since then, he has lectured fundamental topics like Programming and Computer Graphics, but also Internet Programming, Information Systems, Decision Support Systems and Data mining. More recently, he was responsible for introducing courses related to big data analytics in the Computer Science master curriculum at ISEL .
He got his PhD at FCT-UNL in Computer Science. Currently, he is an integrated member at NOVA Lincs research center, a member of the Spatio Temporal Analytics Research interest group, a founding member of the Future Internet Technologies interest group, an adjunct professor at ISEL and the coordinator of the Master in Informatics and Computers Engineering at ISEL.
Nuno research interests include Data mining, Machine learning, Data Analytics, Visualization, Data warehousing, and Spatio-temporal analysis.
Matilde Pós-de-Mina Pato is full professor of computer science engineering at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL), Portugal. Her research interests include machine learning algorithms, bioinformatics, numerical analysis technique used for modeling computational electrodynamics and biomechanics, microwave imaging for medical applications, embracing medical telemonitoring area at the end.
Matilde Pato teaches graduate course in programming, information systems and big data modelling. She studied Chemical Engineering (Diploma) at ISEL, and Computational Mathematics (M.Sc.) at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Lisbon. After, completed her doctoral program in Biomedical Engineering at IST in 2010, with a specialty in mathematical forecasting models for biological tissues
