Midhad Blazevic is a researcher in the research group on Human-Computer Interaction and Visual Analytics (Faculty of Media) of the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. He researches and teaches artificial intelligence and collaborative research approaches and is pursuing a Ph.D. in applied computer science. His Ph.D. studies began in December 2021 with a Ph.D. scholarship from the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences graduate school. He got promoted to the researcher level in the research group in early 2022. In his Ph. D. he is combining his research interests in natural language processing, visual analytics, and AI to improve research collaboration.
Originally coming from the e-government sector, working on digitalization and interdisciplinary workgroup collaboration projects in the German governmental area, he started work in the research group during his M. Sc. Studies in 2020 as a research trainee, and in the same year became a research associate after he completed his M. Sc. with his Thesis “Similarity-Based Visual Search for and Exploration of Scientific Publications,” describing approaches with which similarity-based algorithmic approaches can be used in the context of exploratory searches.
